昨天看 阿什坚纳兹的贝钢全集,终于发现贝多芬与钢琴发展的联系,节录翻译一部分,有部分掠过:
这是巴肖莫斯先生在阿什坚尼 斯的贝多芬演奏会上的前言介绍-----
"this work above all the development of the pianoforte as an instrument was mostly really demonstrated.
这个作品毕竟是“古钢琴”发展成果的一个真真正正的全面示范。
We tend to forget what a new instrument it was, even at the time when Beethoven wrote his 3rd concerto,
it was generally accepted that any piano composition would more of ....by being played on a harpsichord.
即使到了贝多芬已经为钢琴写到第三首协奏曲,我们还是容易忽略了钢琴在当时是一个全新、还在发展的乐器。所谓钢琴作品,人人都自动想到是使用古键琴去演奏。
Well, one of beethoven's most important first, was he wrote for the piano, was no compromize,
he used the extraordinary instrument the way that no one ever done before.
呃,把钢琴的潜力发挥得淋漓尽致,是贝多芬的音乐的众多重要创新之一,也是音乐史史上第一人。
And even more than that, just as the development of the instrument obviously influence very much the way
that Beethoven wrote for it. So he himself also influence the way the piano developed over these years.
And his advise was continuously asked by piano maker through out his life.
再者,钢琴的改革影响了贝多芬写的音乐,他也反过来影响着钢琴的改进。不断有钢琴厂咨询贝多芬的指导,终其一生也推动着琴的改革,。
Well, it seems this period of developments, both in the instrument and in the way that Beethoven wrote for it,
with something over a landmark of the 3rd piano concerto.
tho it still a comparitively early work, Beethoven now really completely understood the instrument he was writing for.
But even more than that, it seems that this time he has some sooth knowledge of just what a work he written,
because whereas the 2nd concerto he ask 10 knuckets, that's 4 pounds, and this one he demanded 300.
似乎这段改革期间,钢琴 和贝多芬作钢琴曲方法,都在第三钢协上展现出里程碑式的新意。虽然这只是他早期的作品,但贝对钢琴的了解已经深湛无比,更知道作品的品位。第二钢协他要价4镑,但钢三却要价300镑。
It's very often the case with Beethoven, when it come to the first performance, the actual piano part was hardly written down at all.
......the poor fellow turn the page for Beethoven, while Beethoven himself play the piano part of course.
贝多芬经常在首演时 还未能把乐谱写好,钢协三演出时也没两样。当那个负责为首演的贝多芬翻琴谱的, 在检视乐谱时……(他后来写下来说:)
"in the playing of the concerto movement, he asked when he turn the page for me.That's all helpless. That is easy to said than done.
T...That was nothing but empty leafs.
At the most, on pages there might be a few Egyptian..... (notations) highly intelligible to me.
..... wrote down the several clues to him, while he play all the piano solo part from memory,
since so often the case he did not has the time to put it all down on paper.
He gave me a secret glance whenever he was at the end of one of the invisible pages,
and my scarcely conceilable anxiety not to miss this moment amused him greatly.
And he laugh hardly at the supper we ate afterward.
‘“琴谱”,居然大部分是空白页。老大,你要我咋翻,这可不是嘴巴说说那么容易
……这堆纸头,最多只有某几页有一些像埃及文一样的符号,压根就看不懂。这只是老贝写下,提醒他自己的符咒。’
‘他居然就是这样,全部靠记忆一一弹奏出来。因为他经常来不及写好乐谱。每次需要翻这本无字天书时,他就给我一个趣怪的眨眼,我紧张兮兮的居然没有漏掉这些暗示,正确的给他翻,令他非常诧异。之后在用餐时他开怀狂笑,不能自已。’
