CD player with high-quality drive and particularly precise and low-noise digital/analogue conversion

The Magnat MCD 550 features a high-quality CD drive with a Sanyo laser unit. The high-precision Sanyo pick-up guarantees totally reliable operation and constantly stable reading of the medium. A high-performance sample rate converter and a particularly high-quality 24-bit digital-analogue converter from Wolfson are responsible for outstanding sound characteristics. The analogue filter and output stage is also fitted with low-noise operational amplifiers. The entire audio electronics are accommodated on a single board, resulting in high operational safety and reliability as well as an excellent signal to noise ratio. An easy-to-read alphanumerical display is located in the 5 mm thick aluminium front panel. The system remote control provided also controls the DAB/FM tuner and the MA400 inegrated amplifier as well as the MCD 550.
