| | | | | | | | The S2000MI is a midi sized, 100WPC, remote controlled, integrated amplifier with five line level inputs. The secret behind the remarkable S2000MI is almost uncanny accuracy combined with the ability to cleanly reproduce extremely high transients without distortion.

| | | | | | | S2000MP+P PREAMPLIFIER | | | In November 1995 Gramophone magazine awarded the S2000MP "Audio Classic" status and said: "This superb preamplifier is well nigh perfect in its transparency to the signal." The S2000MP remote-controlled preamplifier forms the heart of the "Top of The range" AVI system S2000 and includes the option of a discrete phono stage in addition to five remotely selectable line-level inputs. For the benefit of those who have consigned vinyl permanently to history, a non-phono version, the S2000MP, is available with six line level inputs. Both models have full tape in/out facilities. Of course if you should renew your interests in vinyl, you can have the phono stage added to the basic model at a later date. The new S2000MP+P phono preamplifier stage is both MM and MC compatible and features massive headroom which avoids the instability and latching-up problems associated with many audio ICs. Based on all-discrete, class A circuitry fed from a separately screened power supply, the S2000MP (with or without phono stage) has an exceptionally low output impedance (0.2ohms) making its performance essentially independent of load. Gain control is via a motor-driven potentiometer and all switching is performed by reed relays. Intensive listening tests have shown, quite conclusively, that even the best active gain and switching devices introduce quite audible artefacts so you won't find any of those in an AVI design. All the critical electrical components were chosen after stringent listening tests and the company ensures that each and every unit measure up to its extremely high standards.
