From the total economics amount, France is indeed larger than Holland!

It's my personal reason to say that French sucks, which has nothing to to with this thread! And almost very European thinks French is pussy although it has highly developed on culture and I would admit this! But it's true that the on-line shopping development is worse and worse if you go from the North to the South Europe. France is in fact in between!

No doubt Sony's TV lines in Europe belong to high-end level. But it's not the fact that all of its models are more expensive than other brands! Even so, it doesn't directly relate to the TVs' image or built quality (may be more duo to the brand value). Sony's XR1 and X4500 are oriented for high-end buyers and other models like the new Z4500, W4500, and V4500 are actually affordable and hardly surpass the Philips 9000 or even 7000 series in terms of price if you've surveyed on large scale of electronics shops in Europe (not just click the mouse on some price searching engines, like idealo.de). For most models under the same marketing level, Sony's price outstripes Samsung, that's true!

对对,SONY的价格是高,但是这就能说明SONY的东西比飞利浦的好吗?那为什么IFA2008展台上飞利浦的液晶电视我感觉最耀眼性能最强.难道是我偏爱这个牌子.

不管怎么样，索尼的东西在欧洲卖的就是贵。除了市场定位。还有一个原因也许是欧洲对电子产品的环保方面要求很高（尤其是大件儿）。索尼说不定花了额外的精力和金钱对欧洲版的电视机做了机身用料和外观上的改动。以迎合欧盟很多机构的检验，所以价钱就上去了。

说点题外话：索尼虽然在押宝OLED电视，可惜好像索尼在欧洲并没有搞电视研发方面的R&D实验室。飞利浦倒是有，但是飞利浦已经不做PLED电视了（Polymer-based Light-Emitting Diode）。俺对传统的电视不敢兴趣，要是能搞OLED或是有机电子电路设计，俺毕业还真想去索尼工作。

现在在英国剑桥的日本公司好像只有Epson还在搞OLED技术的开发，不过主要精力是放在有机分子喷墨打印方面（Ink jet printing），目的是能在柔性衬底上大面积、高分辨地“打印”有机分子从而制备电路或是发光原件。做面板不是Epson的强项啊。
