到他家网占上去看了，没有看见透露V8i与Mark Levinson的关系，在他们经销商的页面中看到V8i在日本到也是卖得很贵，不知与国内的是否一样的东西．

I'm starting this thread because there is some interest in Hi-End AV for equipment from Far East at this forum.
Let me begin with Korsun.
There were some rumors that highly acclaimed KorsunV8i integrated amplifier and RRM Affirmation amp are the same machines.
It is no secret that Korsun is OEM equipment manufacturer for Red Rose Music.
Are they really the same? The rumors were that  Mark Levinson when asked this question on CES said NO, they are similar looking
units, but inside they are different.

Until now as far as I now no one can come up with the face-to-facecomparison/listening tests and there were no internal pictures of theunits.
But yesterday (courtesy of avbuzz.com) Korient has published the pictures of Korsun8 Vi here

I, too, was lucky enough to find the internal pictures of RRM Affirmation.

As we can see, there are some differences inside.
Actually, Affirmation is closer to Korsun V8 than to V8i version.According to Korsun, "i" version has a remote control, improved power
supply and some small tweaks to improve the sound. You can see a remoteinfrared sensor imbedded in Korsun logo on the face plate,
and the volume pot motor on the preamp board.
KorsunV8I was designed by the famous in China amp designer Mr. Zou Juan Juan.
To me, both amplifiers look the same - same transformers and speaker wiring, same WIMA capacitors, same boards layout,
same 10,000 NOVER power caps. Korsun uses Sanken MOSFET transistors, which brand is used in Affirmation  I don't know .
Same specs. Except Korsun weights 36kg and Affirmation weights 33kg.

The MSRP for Korsun 8V and Korsun 8Vi in China
- 6,900Yuan / ~ 835USD and - 7,380Yuan / ~ 890USD accordingly.
The MSRP for RRM Affirmation in US - $7,000

How do they sound to each other? I don't know. Korsun refuses to sell its 110V units to the US.
But may I suggest...just suggest...
I think the windings on Affirmation's power transformers may be made from pure silver to justify the price difference...

我想买大捷龙,对比了国产的和进口的,进口的深圳比国产的贵2万,销售的猛说国产的跟进口一样,是进口元件组装而已,但我一上车一看,皮啊内饰板啊都是进口的精细好,很明显的,再一开音响进口的还不错层次细节什么的都好,国产的一开音响靠那个蒙混啊,所以我现在能买进口决不买国产,不相信国人做的东西,能忽悠就忽悠,没啥诚信不老实,都说什么车国产了就大变样,跟国外产的是两样,是不是同样的道理

从马克的来话看显然想回避,红玫瑰的内部照片在日本和台湾音响杂志都刊登过的,与科颂不带遥控的老V8看不出有区别,不过老V8科颂也早就不做了,多讨论没啥意义.

楼上的想当然了，MARK在美国又没工厂，再说他又不会设计功放。

但他的录音水平是很高的，声音的鉴赏能力很强，小号也吹的不错。
