One must take into account however that China is trying to rebuild their international reputation with these games, and so as far as they are concerned, they must be the best the world has ever seen. The UK doesn't have the necessity to repair a broken image on the world stage as far as the Olympics are concerned.

not only has the Olympic committee said it wouldn't affect Atheletes, you got to remember it's one of the largest cities in the world and most of the populants of the city are alive and well. 不仅奥委会说过它不会影响运动员,你还应该知道这是世界最大城市之一, 这个城市的人们大多都活的很好

I doubt it. lol Will the stadium even be ready? Chinese people work very hard and are very meticulous. Britain? Things always don't go according to plan and there is never any plan Bs. (Sorry for any total patriots but that's how I feel). 我甚至怀疑我们的场馆是否能准备好,中国人是很小心很努力的在工作着.英国呢?所有的事情从来都是不按计划进行 而且从来也没有计划.

London's 2012 Opening Ceremony
After wathcing parts of the beijing ceremony does anyone else think that Britain has no culture and therefore the ceremony will be a bit crap. China have the kung-fu and tae-chi and other cultural things, but wat does Britain have
看完了北京的开幕式以后,有没有人认为我们英国根本没有什么文化,所以我们的开幕式将会有些垃圾.中国却有功夫,太极和很多其他的文化,我们有么?

we does have history and culture and tradition. It's just like that someone has decided that we want to replace that with some hip hop.
咱们也有自己的历史,文化和传统.比如有些人想用hip hop 做我们开幕式节目

I hate to say this as im British, but 2012 I reckon isn't go to be able to match what I have seen this afternoon.
I will eat humble pie if they can match it or even do better than the 2008 Beijing one.
Will anyone be going to the 2012 games to watch and etc? . .

We wont be able to top it, i hope for everyones sake we try something completely different instead of trying to do one better than China. Most of the chinese olympic guides,helpers etc were volunteers.... somehow i cant see 60,000 people in London helping without being payed
