THX标准家庭影院设置—征求意见稿

创意

这几天请哥们帮忙翻译了一下THX官方网站的家庭影院布置说明，方便大家更好的玩影院音响。

虽然我外语只有专业0.8级，可是也知道要想翻译准确符合语境不是那么容易的，现将初步弄好的资料发布，请各位会好几国英语的大侠多多指正！

每位提出更合理更符合音响实际的大侠，无以回报，以身相许大家都不会要，那就只有加威望了^_^

SPEAKER SETUP  音箱设置

Sound is fifty percent of the entertainment experience. Great sound can really bring out the power of the visual presentation, and speaker placement is essential to experiencing the true impact of movies, music and games. THX provides helpful speaker setup and positioning tips for:

声音是百分之五十的娱乐体验。优质的声音能够给视觉呈现带来力度，而音箱布置是对体验电影，音乐和游戏等产生真正影响的基本要点。

7.1 SPEAKER LAYOUT   7.1音箱布局

A 7.1 system setup uses 4 surround speakers. To get the most out of your 7.1 set-up, the SBL and SBR should be the direct firing type, placed together on the back wall. This allows the THX Advanced Speaker Array, or ASA technology to deliver its maximum effect.

一套7.1系统设置使用4个环绕音箱。为了实现最佳的7.1设置，SBL和SBR应该设置为direct firing模式，一起放置在位于后面的墙上。这允许THX高级音箱阵列，或ASA技术去传递它的最好的效果。

If the SBL and the SBR can't be placed together, refer to the pre-amplifier or receiver's "THX Setup" menu for alternative configurations to maximize your system's potential.

DOLBY TRUEHD or DTS-HD  BACK SURROUND PLACEMENT  Dolby TrueHD 和 DTS-HD后环绕布置

If you have an AV receiver with the ability to decode Dolby TrueHD and/or DTS-HD, and you are playing 7.1 discrete content, then you will want to separate the back surround speakers to produce a 60 degree angle from the main listening location.

如果你有一台Dolby TrueHD 与/或 DTS-HD 解码能力的AV功放，并且你正在播放7.1 分离音轨内容，那么你将要分开这两台后置环绕与皇帝位呈60度夹角。

In addition, you should make an adjustment to your receiver setting. Simply go to the THX Setup Menu in your THX Certified AV Receiver/Pre-amp and set the ASA Surround Back Speaker setting to "Apart (greater than 48)."

FRONT SPEAKER PLACEMENT   主音箱布置

The left and right front speakers are placed at ear height, producing a 45° angle as viewed from the main seat. This delivers a wide sound stage and precise localization of individual sounds.

左边和右边的前置主音箱放置在人耳高度，与皇帝位产生一个45度夹角。这能够传递一个宽广的声音舞台和个体声音的精确定位。

CENTER CHANNEL SPEAKER PLACEMENT  中置音箱布置

The center channel speaker is placed either above or below the display. Depending on the placement, aim this speaker either up or down to point directly at the listener. If you have a perforated screen, center this speaker both horizontally and vertically behind the screen.

中置音箱被布置在显示器上方或下放的任一一个位置。基于这个布置，音箱或高或低的正对着收听者。如果你有透声的屏幕，在屏幕的后方水平和垂直方向居中这个音箱。

SIDE SURROUND SPEAKER PLACEMENT  侧环绕音箱布置

The left and right surround speakers recreate the enveloping sound and intense special effects that you experience at the cinema. These speakers are placed between 90° to 110° to each side and 2 feet or higher above the listener.

左侧和右侧环绕音箱再现犹如你在影院中体验到的包围音场和激烈特效。这些音箱被放置在与收听者呈90至110度的角度以及2英尺或更高的的上方。

BACK SURROUND SPEAKER PLACEMENT  后置环绕音箱布置

The left and right surround back speakers are direct firing, placed together on the back wall to take maximum advantage of THX’s patented Advanced Speaker Array (ASA) technology. Using this speaker setup, THX ASA digitally reconfigures the surround channels to recreate the appropriate sound fields for movies, music and games.

左右后置环绕音箱是direct firing，一起放置在后面墙上以获得THX的专利高级音箱阵列ASA技术的最大好处。使用这个音箱设置，THX ASA以数码方式重新配置环绕通道为电影，音乐和游戏去重建适当的音场。

SUBWOOFER PLACEMENT   低音炮布置

There are a few variations for subwoofer placement, depending on how many subwoofers you have for your system. If you have four subs, place them cross pattern in the middle of each wall. If you have two, put them in the middle of opposing walls. If you have one, place it in the middle of the front wall.

有些许变化对于低音炮的布置，取决于多少你的系统有多少个低音炮。如果你有四台，把它们放置成十字架形排列在每一堵墙的中间。如果你有两台，把它们放置在对立的两堵墙中间。如果你有一台，则把它放置在前面墙的中间。

5.1 SPEAKER SYSTEM LAYOUT  5.1音箱系统布局

A 5.1 system setup uses 2 surround speakers. Placed between 90° to 110° to each side and 2 feet or higher above the listener, the left and right surround speakers are what recreate the enveloping sound and intense special effects that you experience at the cinema.

DESKTOP SPEAKER SYSTEM SETUP    桌面音箱系统设置

For the best playback experience, THX has developed a recommended desktop setup for your multi-media speaker system.

为了最佳的回放体验，THX为你的多媒体音响系统开发了一套推荐的桌面设置。

Monitor Setup: There should be a 28 inch viewing distance from the monitor and your seated position.

监视器设置：在监视器与你的座位之间必须有28英寸的距离。

Speaker Setup: The surround speakers should be 56 inches from your seated position.

DISPLAY SETUP  显示设备设置

THX has established a two step process for calculating the best viewing distance for 1080p HDTVs.

THX制定了一个两步法用于计算1080p高清电视的最佳观看距离。

Step 1: Measure the diagonal screen size  步骤一：测量屏幕的对角线尺寸
Step 2: Divide by .84  步骤二：除以0.84

For example, an HDTV display with a 65-inch screen divided by .84 equals a 77-inch viewing distance (6.5 feet).

The goal is to have a 40° or less viewing angle. This provides the greatest combination of visual impact with sharp detail.

Make sure that each viewer has a clear site line to the display. Take care not to place the display too high on the wall. Viewers should not have to look up more than 15°.
