S2000MI INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER

The S2000MI Integrated amplifier was the second AVI product to win a Gramophone award in November '95 : "Can there be any other design which packs such a generous wattage of nigh perfect audio so efficiently and well."

The S2000MI is a midi sized, 100WPC, remote controlled, integrated amplifier with five line level inputs. The secret behind the remarkable S2000MI is almost uncanny accuracy combined with the ability to cleanly reproduce extremely high transients without distortion.

This kind of performance is only made possible by specifying every component for worst-case conditions, and that starts with the power supply which can deliver peak power well in excess of the amplifiers continuously rated power. Distortion is an incredibly low .003% and the output stage can drive the most difficult loads while keeping plenty of drive current in reserve.

In November 1995 Gramophone magazine awarded the S2000MP "Audio Classic" status and said: "This superb preamplifier is well nigh perfect in its transparency to the signal." The S2000MP remote-controlled preamplifier forms the heart of the "Top of The range" AVI system S2000 and includes the option of a discrete phono stage in addition to five remotely selectable line-level inputs. For the benefit of those who have consigned vinyl permanently to history, a non-phono version, the S2000MP, is available with six line level inputs. Both models have full tape in/out facilities. Of course if you should renew your interests in vinyl, you can have the phono stage added to the basic model at a later date. The new S2000MP+P phono preamplifier stage is both MM and MC compatible and features massive headroom which avoids the instability and latching-up problems associated with many audio ICs. Based on all-discrete, class A circuitry fed from a separately screened power supply, the S2000MP (with or without phono stage) has an exceptionally low output impedance (0.2ohms) making its performance essentially independent of load. Gain control is via a motor-driven potentiometer and all switching is performed by reed relays. Intensive listening tests have shown, quite conclusively, that even the best active gain and switching devices introduce quite audible artefacts so you won't find any of those in an AVI design. All the critical electrical components were chosen after stringent listening tests and the company ensures that each and every unit measure up to its extremely high standards.

S2000MM MONOBLOC POWER AMPS

The monoblocks have been in production for eight years now and have been constantly improved during that time. The latest version appearing in May '00. Their sound quality and astonishing dynamic range have gained them almost "cult" status. They have significantly lower distortion than most other amplifiers and it does not alter regardless of load.

AVI's revolutionary S2000MM Monobloc power amplifiers deliver up to 150W of continuous sine wave power into 8 ohms, or 225W into 4 ohms ensuring the accurate reproduction of musical transients, even with the most complex loudspeaker loads.

Amplifier distortion has been minimised by meticulous design while radical circuit topography effectively isolates the signal path from power supply modulation - a significant cause of low frequency distortion in many lesser designs. To build a conventional amplifier with the same degree of immunity would require a power supply the size of a microwave oven and the cost would be astronomical. With a damping factor in excess of 10,000, an unequalled dynamic range and a frequency response more commonly associated with radio transmitters than audio equipment, the S2000MMs can make even the best loudspeakers sound significantly smoother and more open. Trials with leading industry speakers (and our own) also revealed an increase in low level definition and bass detail. The S2000MMs make a perfect match, both visually and musically, for the rest of the AVI range and the only parameter that's been compromised is the price. We think that once you've heard a pair of S2000MMs you'll agree that they're totally unique - for most, a real culture shock.

The new Reference CD player is a completely new design and reflects our policy of ultimate sound quality with longevity, serviceability and where possible upgrade ability.

Each section is on its own PCB which can be individually replaced with later and better technology if and when it appears.

Although a proprietary loader mechanism is used, all its attendant circuitry is pure AVI and has more powerful and better controlled servos for the laser sled. the result is more accurate tracking for longer, a machine that will last longer between service intervals and last longer overall. And when transport replacement becomes necessary (after many years) because this sub assembly is on its own sub chassis, it may be possible to fit a later and improved transport, thus protecting your investment for even longer.

The price of DACs has fallen dramatically whilst the sound quality has improved and this is reflected in our new lower priced machine. However we have given the new 24 bit DAC its own PCB so that , if a new and better one comes along, this being the best available at the moment, it can be offered as an upgrade. AVI has also added additional filtering of its own design to reduce out of band spuriae that can upset some power amplifiers.

The machine is controlled by an AVI programmed microprocessor which gives us additional flexibility. Not only can new models be easily upgraded but old ones as well. We also have special diagnostic microprocessors which can be used by the service department to interrogate the system and diagnose faults. To sum up, this new machine has the best sound quality CD can offer (we can be sure of this because we were able to compare demonstration boards from all the major DAC manufacturers), improved serviceability, upgrade ability and longevity and it costs 70% of the price of the machine it replaces.

10多年前大陆，香港代理都是和atc同一个，推荐推atc。后来沉寂了很久，早几年在台湾有人代理，最近几年好像在大陆这边很多人有意他的有源音箱，其实他们做合并机与cd机很不错的，据说机箱非常难打开，而且不推荐玩电源线。

谢谢朋友的指点，我研究了他的前级，发现他的增益很大，风格调整的比较浓，因此，在用线材补偿频段，他可能会有一些溢出。不知道是这样子吗

10多年前听过一次而已，没有机会拆开分析，小弟也不会分析。不是技术人，打开机器也看不懂。
